The Berry Beef story began more than a century ago, when our family first started ranching on the Wyoming high plains. Generation after generation, we’ve carried forward the same commitment to hard work, responsible land stewardship, and quality livestock care.
What began as a family operation has grown into a continued dedication to raising cattle the right way — with respect for the land, the animals, and the community we serve today.

Our ranch is located just west of Cheyenne, Wyoming, off Remount Road — land rooted in a unique piece of Wyoming history. This area traces its origins to the historic U.S. Army Remount Service, which operated near Fort D.A. Russell, now known as F.E. Warren Air Force Base. In the late 19th and early 20th centuries, the region served as a critical hub for breeding, training, and supplying horses and mules to cavalry and artillery units across the Western frontier.
Today, that same land continues to support livestock and agriculture, allowing us to carry on a tradition of raising animals in an environment shaped by Wyoming’s open plains and natural resources.

At Berry Beef, our cattle spend their early lives pasture-raised on the Wyoming high plains, where they are grass-fed before being professionally grain-finished. We believe this process produces consistently flavorful, tender beef while maintaining the quality that comes from responsible ranching practices and careful nutrition.
Our commitment to raising cattle locally allows us to maintain oversight of every stage of their development — from pasture to processing.

One of the things that sets Berry Beef apart is the direct relationship our customers have with the process. When you purchase from us, you work directly with the butcher to custom-cut your order to meet your family’s needs.
Our cattle are finished on a unique blend of locally grown grains, and each animal undergoes a professional dry-aging process before being meticulously hand-cut in Wyoming. This approach allows us to provide high-quality, locally raised beef to Wyoming families at a competitive price — without the need for a middleman supply chain.
